First things first. We’d like to thank Allen Benzing for this interesting walkaround of the B-24 Diamond Lil and of course, The Commemorative Air Force for keeping it in superb condition. This particular aircraft is one of only a handful of B-24s left. It took its initial flight in 1941 and has undergone restoration, adding in some modifications and well, now she’s still as badass as when she first took to the skies. She even made an appearance in the 2006 romance drama movie, Beautiful Dreamer.

Anyway, this is a very informative video. We all know it wasn’t easy for the pilots and crews to successfully accomplish a mission but with this in-depth perspective and numerous bits of information, we’re able to understand further the complexities of flying such iconic war bird and yes, the plane itself. She’s a beauty and her nose art is simply stellar. Great video, we definitely need more of these!
