Last year Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen rolled out the biggest aircraft in history known only as the Stratolaunch. With a wingspan bigger than a football field, this massive jet aims to revolutionize the boundaries between air and space. Details about the Stratolaunch have been pretty few and far between but recently it was seen in action for the first time.

Using six huge Boeing 747 engines, this twin-fuselage aircraft plans to launch satellites into space. With growing competition from other companies such as SpaceX and spacecraft such as the Dream Chaser, the area of satellite delivery is expanding rapidly. The development has been taking small steps forward and is expected to be fully operational by 2019.

The crews are still conducting tests and the Stratolaunch has yet to make its maiden flight. However, they did conduct a speed test for the gigantic jet and you can see it in action for the first time in this clip.
