The loss of Bob Hoover is fresh in our minds, he is gone but not forgotten. He was honored with the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Soldier’s Medal for Valor, the Air Medal with Clusters, the Purple Heart, the Croix de Guerre. But today many veterans of the aviation community are coming forward to honor the life of Bob Hoover.

He was as friendly as can be to everyone he met, always supportive of new pilots and always stunned the crowds with stunts in his P-51 Mustang “Ole Yeller.”

It seems as if Hoover was a part of the world of flight in every capacity. From WWII, the Korean War experimental aircraft and airshows. Aero-News Network is streaming a live tribute to the fallen hero. For Bob Hoover this is not death, this is immortality.
