Unleashed.

The South China Sea is a place of high tensions these days as several embittered nations quarrel over a territorial dispute. The Chinese military has begun developing bases on islands claimed by the Philippines and stepping on Japan’s toes by invading their airspace on a routine basis. Despite the outcry from their neighbors, the Chinese navy shows no signs of backing down and has a growing presence in the area.

The new bases in the South China Sea are no doubt an attempt for China to secure the area’s oil and shipping routes to boost their own economy. China has become more open about their military and naval forces with the debut of their new aircraft carrier joining their fleet. However, they are still not commenting on the presence of these bases throughout the area.

“A viable approach to enhanced defense capability and efficiency would be about strengthening the bond shared by the military and civilians, in particular, State-owned defense enterprises and their private counterparts.”

To celebrate the 68th anniversary the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy China has declassified their weapon testing for the world to see. The missile tests at sea can be viewed in this clip from HNTv.
