One Can Ruin It For Everyone.

On February 6th, 2018, a Facebook video spread like wildfire featuring a drone flying within mere feet of a commercial airliner near Las Vegas. The FAA caught on to it fairly quickly as you can imagine and are now investigating the matter seriously. Can’t blame them.

After doing some digging, we found out the video was uploaded by to a drone enthusiast group on Facebook by a man named James Jayo Older. Reports are not indicative it was him flying the drone, but his profile does have a lot of drone racing pictures in it. The video which was uploaded is not there.

If caught, the person flying the drone can get a criminal fine of up to $250,000.

As you can imagine, the drone community immediately condemned the actions of the individual who performed the stunt. Any responsible drone owner knows the FAA restricts flying them to 400 feet, the footage most likely exceeding 1,000.

Man, can you just imagine that thing being sucked into the engines? Sure, there is a possibility of it just being chewed up but there is a big possibility of the fan blades being damaged or even broken. Either way, the slightest chance of your stupidity taking down a commercial flight full of passengers near a populated area should land you in jail, if not prison.

Just our opinion. What do you think?
