Sounds Great.

Rc fliers are definitely a creative bunch. They love to not only fly but also to build and that’s the part we love the most. There are a lot of aircraft out there that have no airworthy examples which is sad. It’s these guys who oftentimes bring these beauties back to life, no matter the scale.

Although the plane in this video doesn’t fall into that category, it’s pretty close. As of 2017, there are only 8 Ju-52s that are still airworthy out of the 4,845 that were built overall.  Sadly, that number will dwindle as years pass, but hey, that’s part of life.

Here are some of the specs:

Wingspan: 20 ft.
Weight:218 lbs.
Powerplant: 3 Moki 5 cylinder radial 4-stroke engines

For those of you who don’t know about this plane, here’s a quick scoop. This pretty in its own way plane was built by Junkers back in 1932 as a transport aircraft. During World War II, it was refitted to be a troop and cargo plane but for a period of time was repurposed as a medium bomber as well.

It’s skin is probably what makes it stand out from the crowd. It was made of corrugated duralium which gave it a distinct look. The tri-motor configuration also helps.
