Down To The Wire.

When someone has a passion for WWII history they become incredibly detail-oriented and will catch just about any inaccuracy. Big budget Hollywood films go all out to make big explosions and fight scenes but often times they can’t even get costumes right. There is a group of WWII reenactors in Chile who spare no expense to make sure that their films and battles are absolutely perfect.

There were quite a few folks who took up some issues with Dunkirk over the lack of aerial combat, claiming it should have had way more. The WWII re-enactors of Chile are recreating battles that took place half a world away with authentic scenery, clothing, and weaponry to simulate these battles. They perform with a great deal of respect for the men who actually took part in these wars that saved the world.

“Historical accuracy is very important above all because we’re re-enacting situations that other people really lived. Out of respect for veterans, we have to do a good job.”

See for yourself how well they do when they bring WWII back to life in this clip.
