The Perfected MiG-35 Makes Its First Public Appearance – What Has It Been Holding Back

MiG-35 Revealed.
Russia’s Miyokan MiG-35 has captured the world’s attention since being revealed to the public earlier this year. Details of the Generation 4++ fighter jet have been scarce during its decade of development but it is preparing for launch in Russia’s Air Force. Recently the public was treated their first display of the MiG-35 at the MAKS Airshow.
An estimated 450,000 attendees showed up to the MAKS Airshow to see the aerial displayed from a wide assortment of pilots and aircraft. Even President Vladimir Putin swung by to check out the action as Russia’s MiG-35 stepped into the spotlight for its public display.
“This is a new configuration, approaching 5th generation capabilities. It has new radar and reconnaissance capabilities. It’s equipped with upgraded weapons, and a stealth covering that makes it invisible to the adversary. This is what makes this jet so attractive.”

There is no denying that the MiG-35 stole the show at MAKS with its incredibly impressive performance. The finishing touches are being put on the MiG-35 and it will be combat ready in 2018, the MAKS Airshow footage can be seen in this clip.
