Crabbing Like There’s No Tomorrow.

This footage was recorded on Saturday, October 21st, 2017. It shows a couple of landings at the Birmingham Airport in the U.K. during Storm Brian which was quite scary for some passengers, especially those on the smaller planes.

According to TheSun.co.uk, Storm Brian was trailing after the recent hurricane Ophelia and racked up winds speeds of up to 70mph. Numerous warnings were sent out to U.K.’s residents telling them not to go outside to take “storm selfies” as the weather was becoming extremely unpredictable.

Warning people on the ground was one thing, but the flights heading toward Birmingham had to land. Although the video wasn’t taken at the apex of the storm, you can clearly tell the pilots were wrestling their controls to put them down. There was quite a bit of crabbing as one might expect, but the smaller planes especially were wiggling back and forth even after touching down.

All in all, these commercial pilots are pros. Sure, some seat cushions might have gone missing after these flights but everyone was safe. Check out the wobbly landings below.
