These are tests against steel plate targets from shells ranging in size from 105mm to 155mm. There’s just something about the anticipation of these things hitting their targets. Usually they travel so fast, you can’t really get a grasp on the devastation they are able to inflict.

Thanks to modern cameras, you can actually see the round enter the frame and see the little details of each explosion. One of the things that stands out are these are direct impacts, not necessarily how artillery rounds work in general, but nonetheless makes some killer footage.
