It is no secret that Kim Jong Un has been getting on everyone’s nerves lately. The North Korean dictator has been boasting threats and hurling poorly aimed munitions at the sea and stirring up trouble. So it’s about time that the United States demonstrated who is the boss with a show of force.
After launching several missiles over Japanese airspace as well as detonating a hydrogen bomb that is said to have leveled a mountain things are really escalating. The United States is not taking these threats lightly and has countered with some threats of their own, by showing what they can really do.
A group of F-35B Lightning II fighters took off from Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni in Japan. The Fifth-Generation fighters now join an already stellar collection of aircraft prepared to take action against the aggression of North Korea.
“North Korea’s actions are a threat to our allies, partners, and homeland, and their destabilizing actions will be met accordingly.”
– General Terrence O’Shaughnessy (Pacific Air Forces Commander)
North Korea’s weapon tests have put East Asia on edge but fortunately, the forces of the United States are there to help. The fighters launching into action can be viewed in this video.
