747 Lands With Exploded Tire

This is Crazy!

This Atlas Air Boeing 747-400 freighter was forced to land with a blown main landing gear tire!

Fortunately, the landing was super soft. Excellent work from the flight crew!

If you’re a nervous flyer, it’s actually comforting to know that landing on a shredded tire isn’t usually a problem for the plane involved.

However, it can cause possible delays on a busy aircraft since the runways have to be closed as it has to be checked for any chunks of tire debris. In fact, landing with one failed tire is perfectly acceptable.
