On June 6th this year, there are commemorations for the 80th anniversary of D-Day featuring various parachute displays from the most iconic and historic aircraft from WWII.

Volunteer parachutists get to jump from Dakota C-47s remembering the brave men who had to eighty years ago during the war. Dakota played a key role during D-Day. A lot of jump teams came from the States- from those that serve the military, ex-militaries, or simply just jumping enthusiasts. What’s exciting is that this journey reaches France. What’s even more exciting is that the organizers used the original drop zones that were used in 1944. How cool is that?
