Always Learning.

Whichever way you look at it, this video is pretty awesome for many reasons. Yes, the windy conditions make it a bit more sensational, but either way, we finally found high-resolution footage of Hornets taking off.

This footage was taken by a Youtube subscriber by the name of “m171562.” That’s not a lot to go on, but whatever. As for the video, it was taken at Wings Over Illawarra back in 2014. The airshow, which was also to feature World War II warbirds, was canceled because of extremely windy conditions. There has been a lot of controversy about this in the comment section (see for yourself), as many armchair pilots started putting in their two cents.

To counter this, the person who took this video made a separate video as well. You can see it in the related videos sidebar, but what he did is pull up the wind conditions chart for that day. Also, since these people can’t be convinced by anything and they said the chart was fake, he pulled up other videos he took from that day. Trees were shaking back and forth like crazy, so yeah, it was a windy day.

Just check out the footage and see for yourself. These Hornets were whipped around on take off pretty bad.
