“Old Crow” is one of the most famous airworthy P-51 Mustangs, having been flown by triple ace Bud Anderson during World War II. Anderson’s “Old Crow” was credited with 16.25 aerial victories.

It frequently appears at airshows, where it continues to inspire aviation enthusiasts and history buffs alike.

 

“Cripes Aโ€™Mighty”

This beautifully restored P-51D Mustang bears the markings of George Preddyโ€™s “Cripes Aโ€™Mighty,” one of the highest-scoring Mustang aces of World War II.ย 

Preddy achieved 26.83 aerial victories before his untimely death in 1944.

 

“Glamorous Glen III”

Chuck Yeager, the first pilot to break the sound barrier, flew several Mustangs named “Glamorous Glen.”ย 

The most famous of these, “Glamorous Glen III,” is preserved in airworthy condition and regularly showcased at aviation events.ย 

 

“Dolly”

“Dolly” is a meticulously restored P-51D Mustang that pays tribute to the 339th Fighter Group.ย 

Known for its striking paint scheme and historical accuracy, “Dolly” is a crowd favorite at airshows.

“Miss Helen” served with the 352nd Fighter Group during World War II and is one of the few Mustangs that saw combat and remains airworthy today.ย 

Restored to its original wartime configuration, “Miss Helen” participates in airshows and historical reenactments, offering a tangible connection to the past for all who witness its flights.

 

“Sweet and Lovely”

Another remarkable P-51D Mustang, “Sweet and Lovely,” is known for its pristine condition and historical accuracy.ย 

It represents the aircraft flown by Lt. John Voll, one of the leading Mustang aces.ย
