The Flying Legends have been considered one of the most popular warbird airshows to look out for in the UK. It’s also quite possibly the heritage air show in regards to the UK aviation calendar. Traditionally, the show features historic piston engine aircraft in rare combinations, along with more recent flying legends.

This footage is an awesome aerial display at the Flying Legends 2019 Airshow in Duxford. It features “Sally B,” which was Europe’s last remaining airworthy Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress along with “Nellie” Republic P-47D Thunderbolt.

Because of the pandemic, the 2020 show was canceled, but this year, a 2023 Flying Legends is on the wraps. So, turn up the volume, and hold your seat, because you’re in for a treat watching these warbird legends taking the skies!
