The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress is a four-engine heavy bomber used during World War II. The aircraft was designed by the Boeing Aircraft Company and is one of the most famous planes ever built. Over 12,000 of these planes were produced for combat and to this day, only about 40 remain.

This video features a B17 Flying Fortress From a WWII engine start-up in Galveston, Texas, and what a sound those engines produced! Now, just imagine if the sky is full of these birds- what a sound. Definitely a beautiful plane and a marvel of engineering at her time.

We just hope the one who filmed this clip used a tripod for better video quality. Nevertheless, it must be a thrill to fly this beautiful warbird!
