This is a compilation of the best video footage and sound of the Messerschmitt Bf-109 G6 “Schwarze 8” at Hangar 10 between 2018 and 2019.
The sound of that Daimler Benz engine and that whistle from the supercharger is definitely awesome. It has one of the best engine sounds out there and is always iconic.
What an incredible machine! The plane is a beast- it’s 80 years old and still flies phenomenally.
The BF-109 is a German World War II fighter aircraft that became the backbone of the Luftwaffe, along with the Fw-190. It was flown by three top-scoring fighter aces of all time, claiming approximately 928 victories, mainly on the Eastern Front.
