Big Country Air Fest Dyess AFB, Texas, Airshow 22 Apr 2023 – F-22 B-1B C-130J C-47 F-5 P-51

Simply Spectacular

Last April 22, 2023, the Dyess Air Force Base held its very first airshow near Abilene, Texas with approximately 30,000 attendees.

Of course, the base’s very own B-1Bs and C-130Js did an excellent performance. You might also watch out for a quick pass by the Commemorative Air Force’s B-24 Liberator “Diamond Lil” and other notable warbirds. The heritage formation also featured two rare F-5s, and the F-22. No doubt that seeing those F-5s with the F-22 really put things into perspective- the plane going straight up is simply spectacular! Not to mention, the Raptor is definitely a big girl!

Overall, the airshow featured a fantastic selection of aircraft- a very good display of the old and new. This footage is probably best viewed with the sounds up. What do you think? Let us know your thoughts!
