This is footage of the F-104 Starfighter ground test run and flying. The TF-104GM Starfighter returns to Italy at Italian Air Force Centenary Airshow, Manifestazione Aerea del Centennario dell’Aeronautica Militare at Pratica di Mare 2023.

According to Youtuber PaddyPatrone, the plane encountered a couple of technical issues over the weekend, so there was technically only one flight at the airshow. Still, it was truly a feast for the eyes and ears. With those small wings, the takeoff and landing speeds look quite high.

This stunning machine is absolutely timeless, and that howl from its engine! We couldn’t find any words to describe the sound. Truly awesome!
