F-16 “Venom” Demonstration and P-51 Heritage Flight – Thunder Over Michigan 2022

Two Different Generations

The US Air Force F-16 Viper Demonstration Team gave the crowd at the 2022 Thunder Over Michigan Airshow quite a performance. Held at Willow Run Airport near Detroit, Michigan, the air show also featured a P-51 Heritage Flight, honoring the magnificent warbird that dominated in WWII.

During the F-16 demonstration, we see the Viper do several loops and rolls over the airport, showcasing the impressive speed and maneuverability of the 4th-gen fighter jet.

If that wasn’t enough, the P-51 also joined the Viper in the middle of its demonstration. Just take a look at this picture:

It’s wild to see these two fighters flying at the same time. What a wonderful experience that must have been for the spectators.
