F6F-5 Hellcat From Fagen Fighters Shows Off During Takeoff

No Better Sound!

This footage features the Grumman F6F-5 from start-up to landing. The plane is part of the Fagen Fighters WWII Museums collection and their collection is regularly seen on airshows all over the country, including the EAA Airventure in Oshkosh Wisconsin.

Got to say, there’s quite no plane that will ever sound that cool- what a unique sound! It’s definitely one of the best radial sounds we’ve ever heard.

Loved the supercharger whine overlaying the throbbing exhaust.
