Still, It’s One Of The Smaller Ones.
This is some really eye-opening footage we just found. It pretty much shows the day to day devastation Europe went through as bombs were dropped on both military and civilian targets.
Now here’s the kicker. This isn’t footage from World War II but a show called Blitz Street. This show, although it only had a few episodes, tested a bunch of German weapons from World War II and filmed them professionally. They got all the angles, slow motion shots and both interior and exterior footage to show exactly what these things did.
In this short clip, you’ll be able to see the effects of Germany’s SC50 bomb. It was a bomb that was dropped on London during the early part of the 40s and you’ll see what it did to brick and mortar buildings. Although it shook the hell out of buildings, think about the fact that Germans also dropped 250, 500, 1,800 and 2,500 kg. bombs of this sort.
After watching this, imagine being inside one of these buildings. Just things coming off the walls could kill you.
