Aboard a Flying Boat

The Grumman Widgeon is a small, two-engine, amphibious plane used during the Second World War as a patrol and utility vehicle utilized by the US Navy, US Coast Guard, and the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy. Although a lot smaller, it’s quite similar to the Grumman G-21 Goose. All in all, there are 276 built by Grumman and only a handful of these flying boats are still flying today.

YouTuber Matt Guthmiller takes us on a wild ride aboard the Widgeon. We held our breaths as we watched it make a rough water landing. The plane also did a spectacular job taking off from the water and up again in the air. Absolutely breathtaking!

So, what do you think of this totally cool flying boat?
