Footage of Marines Arming the F4U Corsair During WWII

Great WWII Footage
This shows Marines arming an F4U Corsair at Goleta, California, on April 12, 1945.

This iconic warbird was armed with bombs, bullets, and rockets. The video then shows the aircraft’s start-up, which includes putting out a rich mixture fire.

The crew in the footage became the first Marine Squadrons to operate from Escort Carriers in the Pacific theater during the war. Overall, this is a great video, we wished the video had a sound, though, because the sound of Corsairโs engine would take it to a whole other level.
