The One And Only
Eight years ago, the Flying Heritage Collection once owned and maintained the only airworthy and original Focke-Wulf 190 in the world. This Fw 190 was recovered from an overgrown forest near St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1989 – decades before it was restored in the 2010s.
During WWII, this 190 bore the Werknummer 151 227 as part of the JG 54 fighter wing.
Most notably, this aircraft was restored to flying condition with its original BMW 801 engine in 2011. As you can imagine, the sound of this engine was more than enough to attract a large crowd at Paine Field in Everett, Washington.
They did a fantastic job in restoring this infamous aircraft from WWII. Check it out below!
