Flying a Corsair Indoors

This video gives us a glimpse of a self-made F4U-Corsair depron model flown by pilot Jürgen Schönle during the modell hobby spiel Leipzig event in Germany in 2019. The plane is an excellent replica of the F4U Corsair.

The model plane has a wingspan of 3,12m, a height of 2,50m, and a take-off weight of 4 kg. The battery used is 3S 2000mah, and it’s a 450-size model helicopter mechanics for the engine. It’s also extremely lightweight for indoor flights.

We can say overall that we’re pretty impressed since flying a plane that big indoors must be challenging- the pilot has excellent flying skills to fly the model in such a tight space. Not to mention, the wing fold at the end was a nice touch. Definitely worth watching!
