Grumman Ironworks – Hellcat and Tigercat and Bearcat – Oh My!

In the video, two incredible planes are featured among the Historic Flight Foundation’s airworthy vintage aircraft- the Grumman F7F Tigercat and an F8F Bearcat. Both of these planes are regularly flown and also put on a marvelous show. Watching these two birds, both of them lifting off the runway is a pretty impressive sight.

Not to mention, both the Tigercat and the Bearcat are an absolute symphony of sound. We got to say, nothing sounds better than that massive Pratt and Whitney R2800 radial engine. The sound is absolutely raw power!

But it aint over yet. Across the runway, we see Paul Allen’s Flying Heritage Collection fly their restored Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat.
