Aeroworld’s XXL Project

Even military jet trainers nowadays look sleek and polished, and the Aermacchi MB-339’s design is proof of that.

Aeroworld’s 1:2.4 scale MB-339 looks just as good as the original. The aircraft comes from their XXL project, in which they collaborated with Red Bull to develop and produce this beautiful plane.

Its slightly modified wings measure 14ft in length, and its fuselage reaches almost 15ft. The aircraft’s JetCat P550 turbine engines can fully accommodate its take-off weight of 198 lbs. In the air, the remote-controlled aircraft flies smoothly and can do aerobatic maneuvers with elegance.

Thomas Gleißner did a wonderful job flying this plane. He must be so proud to own this massive replica of the IAF’s jet trainer.
