No Room For Error: P-51 Mustang Gets Up Really Close To F-22

No Pressure Here!

Pilot Vlado Lenoch is taking us along for the ride in his P-51 Mustang “Baby Duck”. This was during the USAF Heritage Flight performance at the 2016 Cleveland National Airshow. This war bird looks classy and vintage through and through. But that’s not what made our jaws drop to the floor – check out the low high speed passes. Yep, it will take your breath away. And quick warning, it’s not for the faint of heart. You really need to have balls of steel to do it!

It’s a great fighter to say the least. It’s a World War II veteran and well, it’s legendary because of its range and combat capabilities. Bud Anderson said:

[The Mustang] was pleasant and forgiving to fly. Best of all, it went like Hell….. We sensed it was special, even before we measured it against what the enemy pilots were flying.
