Air Forced.

Air Force One is a practically a flying fortress with its incredible defenses and immunities. It is probably the safest aircraft in the world, or so we thought. An investigation into Air Force One has revealed a major problem that could have been life threatening to everyone onboard.

The culprit that has been plaguing Air Force One is actually a contaminated oxygen system. Experts claim that the oxygen system took a dive while Air Force One was undergoing repairs at a Boeing repair facility Port San Antonio, Texas. They used unapproved parts within the oxygen regulator for the passenger areas of the plane. Boeing stepped forward to admit their mistake and cover the costs which are estimated to be around $4 million.

“[Boeing] fully understands the level of responsibility that comes from working on the president’s aircraft. We’ve worked alongside the 89th Airlift Wing and all involved Air Force parties to complete investigations and corrective action plans that ensure stellar performance in the future.”

– Official Statement from Boeing

The oversight of this issue is ridiculous since the mistake was made in April 2016 which means that two Presidents, as well as staff members lives, were at risk. Air Force One undergoes regular maintenance after flights and no one was hurt following these mistakes.
