P-51 Thunder Mustang With V-12 Engine Start-up

What a Beauty!

Dave White flew this 7/8-scale P-51 Mustang to the Jerry Tyler Memorial Airport in Niles, MI, and showed it to the members of EAA Chapter 865.

This footage shows him firing the engine before leaving. The Thunder Mustang is the epitome of the Mustang replica market. It looks stunning and true to the original in terms of appearance. We’ve also never seen a Falconer V12 take that long to start. It still has a great engine sound, though and almost sounds like the real thing. We also absolutely love the colors of this stunning bird!
