Passenger Captures His Flight Catch Fire In This Raw Video-But That’s Not The Worst Of It

Fired Up For Flight.

On October 10th, 2017, an American Airlines flight from Hong Kong to Los Angeles caught fire while being loaded at the terminal. A passenger waiting to board his flight caught the incident on his camera phone.

According to multiple reports, the flight was not yet boarded and the airliner’s crew did not suffer any injuries. Although an investigation is underway, it’s clear from the video that it was the mechanical lift which hauls cargo into the belly of the plane that caught fire. It was soon extinguished by the airport’s fire crews.

Although quite sensational to see, we’d like to point out one strange thing we caught in the video.

As the man is filming the incident, there are people sitting and standing next to the window. To make things worse, there’s a curious child smooshing its nose to the glass as well. Now, we’re not trying to sound judgemental, but wouldn’t it make sense to get the hell away from the window (especially scooping up the child) in case of an explosion. This plane was fueled to make the journey over the Pacific Ocean, so one can assume quite full of fuel.

In our day, people would think about that and flock to safety on the other side of the terminal, not to the glass window closest to the plane with their phones out.
