Love the Details!

The Spirit of Portsmouth, one of the 12 KC-46A jets that were assigned to the 157th Air Refueling Wing sported a patriotic, new look. The new paint honors the US Air Force’s 75th birthday and the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city of Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

The paint job showcases a 52-foot-tall tail draped in red, white, and blue stars and stripes, overlaid by a 16-foot-tall Minute Man.

The text “New Hampshire” can also be found on the plane’s left side, with the state’s motto, “Live Free or Die”, found on the right. The usual black stars and bars near the plane’s rear are rendered in full color.
