Pilot Goes A Bit Too Hard On The Brakes And Gets Incredibly Lucky At The End

Hey, At Least He Landed.

This video comes to us from a YouTube channel called GlobalLeaks News. It’s a pretty big channel which shows crazy things that happen around the world. From car near misses to miraculous saves, you can get lost in this channel for hours. (We might be guilty of that ourselves.)

Luckily, all that getting lost paid off.

In this video, you’ll get to see a pretty gnarly crash of a small, single-engined prop plane. Coming in to land at Mayeres airport in France (more of a flat, grassy path in the mountains) the pilot might have thought he was running out of runway and slammed on those brakes a bit too hard.

You can only guess what happened. First, a prop strike and then he went fully vertical, and we swear, he was about to tip over. Check out how close that was.

As it’s said in aviation. Any landing you can walk away from is a good one. Any landing in which you can use the plane the next day is a great one. So, he’ll spend the money, fix her up and probably go easier on the brakes next time.
