Birds Of A Feather.

For the first time in 33 years, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds have returned to the AirVenture Airshow in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Active since 1971, the Snowbirds are Canada’s finest aerobatic airshow and arguably the most impressive act at AirVenture 2016. Nine pilots in Canadair CT-114 Tutors fly in a formation so tight that they almost resemble a single aircraft. The Snowbirds have performed over 2,500 shows and have won several awards for their excellence. The Snowbirds have a 40-year connection to the AirVenture however, their worldwide popularity has kept them too busy to perform at the show for the past 33 years.

“The Canadian Forces Snowbirds (431 Air Demonstration Squadron) are a Canadian icon comprised of serving members of the Canadian Forces. Their pilots and technicians work as a team to bring thrilling performances to the North American public. Serving as Canadian ambassadors, the Snowbirds demonstrate the high level of professionalism, teamwork, excellence, discipline and dedication inherent in the women and men of the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Canadian Forces.”

Their presence at AirVenture drew a huge crowd that stood in awe of their uncanny precision and gorgeous flight form. An absolutely beautiful performance, the Snow Birds are a ballet in the sky.
