That’s A Great Hobby.

We’ve shown you guys a lot of RCs in our day, each one unique in its own way. The latest SR-71 we showed (see bottom) you was probably the best example of craftsmanship we’ve ever seen, but hey, not everyone has 10 years to build something. That’s why you can get a kit like the guy in this video did.

For about $4,000 you can buy all the necessary parts to fly your own 1:4.5 scale Corsair (or a plane of your choice.) They’re relatively easy to put together and you can paint them any color you want. The guy in the video added some pretty interesting neon green stripes and rings.

In addition to the price above however, there’s the most important part of the plane. The engine. The tiny radials (which sound great by the way) can cost anywhere from $2,000 to $5,000 depending on the size you want. This guy used a 400cc motor which gives this RC a great sound and enough power to plow through the sky.

Check out the video and let us know what you think. We love the fact that this kit takes into account the folding wings, giving the Rc an extra splash of realism.
