In August 2024, people gathered to witness a thrilling moment as a fully restored Messerschmitt Bf-109 E-4 took to the skies.

The aircraft, with its smooth lines and unique markings, looked both elegant and powerful. Built in 1939, this fighter has had a long history, having flown with Jagdgeschwader 5 during World War II before being lost near Murmansk in 1942.

As the Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine roared to life, the deep sound of its V12 engine echoed across the airfield.

After a smooth takeoff, the Bf-109 flew gracefully, showing off the careful work done by Charleston Aviation Services and MotoBende.

Upon landing, the Bf-109 touched down perfectly, completing this stunning display. Seeing this famous Luftwaffe aircraft in flight was truly impressive!
