Hawker Sea Fury With Original Bristol Centaurus Engine Sounds Amazing

What a Plane!

In this footage, we see pilot Denni Sanders practicing an aerobatic routine for the Santa Maria Central Coast Airfest airshow in the Hawker Sea Fury “924” warbird. The aircraft is still equipped with its original  Bristol Centaurus engine.

This plane is truly a marvel of engineering with a beautiful history behind it. Also, the pilot definitely knows his machine and the sound of the Centaurus engine is like music to the ears. However, some might say that the engines are a bit ‘smokey’ even if it’s idle.
