Former President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s aircraft touched down in Billings, Montana, at 2:29 p.m. on Friday.

The Billings Airport confirmed that Trump’s plane had to land due to a mechanical issue. Afterward, he boarded a private aircraft to continue his journey to the Bozeman area. Before this transition, the Secret Service conducted a thorough sweep of the airport.

An insider informed MTN that the second plane reached the West Yellowstone Airport, landing around 4:00 p.m.

Trump is set to host a rally in Bozeman on Friday evening, with his speech expected around 8:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, located on the Montana State University campus.

At the rally, Trump will be joined by Tim Sheehy, the Republican Senate candidate for Montana, whom he has endorsed. Sheehy is challenging incumbent Democrat Jon Tester in what is predicted to be one of the most competitive and costly Senate races of 2024.
