In the footage, we get to watch two stunning Bell UH-1H Hueys showing off what they’re made of during the 22nd Annual Olympic Air Show. Near the end of the video, we also get to see this two-ship demo joined by an AH-1 Cobra.
The Bell UH-1 Iroquois, also known by the nickname “Huey” is a utility military helicopter that is powered by a single turboshaft engine, equipped with two-bladed main and tail rotors. The UH-1 had become a symbol of the involvement of the United States in Southeast Asia, especially in Vietnam.
Thus, as a result of this particular conflict the Huey became one of the most recognized helicopters in the world. This version of the helicopter was designated initially as the UH-1D and is operational since 1963. Hope you enjoy watching!
