Grunts In The Sky.

Infantry units caught in the heat of battle may not always have a great chance of survival when things get bad. But you can rest assured that they will have the greatest chance of survival when an A-10 Warthog drops in to provide some cover. There are many voices trying to silence the sound of the A-10’s gun but a new documentary is showing all the good it does for the troops.

“The number one priority is always saving guys on the ground.”

Grunts in the Sky is a new documentary that shows exactly how vital the A-10 Thunderbolt II is to ground units. Pilots who flew the Warthog in a variety of different wars came forward to tell their stories and the lives they saved. This film shows combat footage on the field of battle in a way that only an A-10 could display.

It is ironic that the United States Air Force would attempt to remove the A-10 from use yet they made a film justifying its importance. Fortunately, Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson has pushed for a renewed effort to keep the Warthog in service due to her experience as an A-10 pilot.

So if you love the A-10 Warthog and want to see exactly how important it is to the troops on the ground check out this film.
