Warbird Duo.

There is just something about the sound of a warbird engine that is just so pleasing to hear. Down in New Zealand, have a strong passion for their aviation history and love embracing their warbirds. So here we are treated to a flight from a beautifully preserved Supermarine Spitfire and a P-40 Curtiss Kittyhawk.

“In New Zealand, as in many countries the world over, service aircraft have been the introduction to flying and aviation for thousands of young men (and some women), particularly in times of war. Many such pilots have gone on to establish careers in civilian flying long after their military service so, in many ways, these aircraft form the very backbone of our country’s aviation history.”

Those engines get really loud as they start taxing out for their takeoff. They really know how to get the fans going as those engines start booming. So turn the volume way up and see this Supermarine Spitfire and this P-40 Kittyhawk start soaring. Big thanks to AirflowNZ for the amazing footage of this flight.
