WW1 Dogfight From The Pilots’ Perspective

This is Absolutely Wild!
In this footage, we get to see pilots Dave King in the Fokker Dr.1 Triplane and Mark Mondello in the Sopwith Pup as they take their respective WWI planes to the skies in a dogfight.

It’s pretty impressive that these guys could synchronize the guns well enough to shoot through the propeller.

We’re also surprised how limited the field of vision is because of the Fokker’s extra wing. Having a bi-wing certainly has its advantages.

Now, let’s try to imagine these as scout planes for ground reenactment battle. This would certainly be one of the coolest things ever!
