We all have our favorites. Favorite actors. Favorite singers. Favorite heroes. Most of us will never have a personal encounter with them like we’d wish, but hey, that’s life. We should at least be happy for the people that do, especially if they deserve it.

One such person is Cyrus Porter. A 96 year young veteran of World War II, he caught the public eye two days before Christmas when his local news station KFVS did a short segment about him. He told them that he’s “cray cray for Tay Tay” and that he simply enjoys her music just like anyone else. The funny thing is that everyone else is about 70 years younger.

This local story got a lot of traction on social media because Taylor Swift saw it too. She did much more than just “liking” the post however. She showed up on his door step over the holiday weekend and stuck around for a while.

While going through Porter’s family’s social media, you can see that they snapped away dozens of pictures of Swift holding babies and giving out hugs to everyone. She even did a little performance in their back yard (see the video below).

As you can see, Cyrus was more than happy.
