FOOTAGE: XB-70 Catches Fire During Emergency Landing

That’s One Hot Landing!

In this footage, an XB-70 Valkyrie Mach 3 bomber blows nearly all of its tires during landing, causing fires. Still, it did manage a beautiful landing for such a stressful situation.

It had a skillful pilot, to say the least for such a sweet touchdown. It’s amazing that the plane’s landing struts didn’t collapse and its belly didn’t slam into the runway. This bird is definitely ahead of its time.

It looked literally like the afterburners set the fires inside on fire. The fires were probably caused by the heat from the breaks caused by tires to burst. Still, overall it was a solid landing.
