This features a Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-5 BMW 801 engine test. Love seeing our favorite warbirds rising from the ashes. The sound of an actual BMW 801 engine had not been heard anywhere since 1947. It also started right up after the first successful ignition. This plane is so well made, fast, and beautiful. Also, listening to the sound of those radial engines is like music to the ears!
This doesn’t get any better until this plane can actually be restored to airworthy condition and flies. We don’t know, though, if they used the same type of engine as the original or another type of radial engine. What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
