Small Plane Crashes Into Fullerton Warehouse, Killing 2 and Injuring 19

A tragic plane crash shook Fullerton, California, on Thursday when a single-engine Van’s RV-10 aircraft slammed into the roof of a furniture manufacturing building near Fullerton Municipal Airport. The crash, which occurred shortly after 2 p.m., claimed the lives of two people on board and injured 19 others inside the building.

The pilot, who had just taken off, requested an emergency return at 900 feet but did not specify the issue. Moments later, the plane tilted on its side and plunged into the Michael Nicholas Designs warehouse, triggering a fiery explosion and a plume of black smoke.

Eleven people were hospitalized with injuries ranging from minor to severe, while eight others received treatment at the scene.

The aircraft, identified as a kit-built model from 2011, crashed roughly 1,000 feet short of Runway 24. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as emergency crews battled flames and evacuated nearby businesses.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash. Fullerton’s mayor called the incident a “solemn tragedy” and pledged community support for those affected.

This marks the second crash in the area in recent months, highlighting ongoing concerns about aviation safety near the busy municipal airport.
