Just a week after the deadly mid-air collision near Washington, D.C., that claimed 67 lives, another aviation incident has occurred—this time on the ground at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).

On Wednesday morning, a Japan Airlines aircraft taxiing near the S Concourse struck the tail of a parked Delta Air Lines plane close to the south maintenance hangars. The collision occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m. local time, triggering an immediate response from Port of Seattle Fire, police, and airport operations teams

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. All passengers aboard Japan Airlines Flight 68 and Delta Air Lines Flight 1921 were safely deplaned and transported to the terminal. Both airlines are now working to accommodate affected travelers.
Airport officials confirmed that operations remain largely unaffected, as the collision happened on a taxi lane rather than an active runway. Response teams are currently removing the aircraft from the ramp, and passengers are advised to check with their airlines for any potential delays.
