What a Machine

This 1944 P-51D Mustang (N83KD) from the Tri-State Warbird Museum is nothing short of breathtaking. The best part? No background music—just pure engine sound and a genuine POV experience from inside the cockpit.

It’s one of the best Mustang cockpit views we’ve seen, giving you a real feel for what it’s like to sit behind the controls of this iconic warbird.

The engine sounds incredible—powerful and raw. Takeoff is quick, and the initial climb is impressive. Even by today’s standards, the speed this aircraft delivers is something to behold.

What makes this even more special is seeing something different: a smooth, docile stall instead of the usual high-speed passes. It really gives you a better understanding of how the aircraft handles at lower speeds.

We can only imagine what it felt like flying behind that massive Merlin engine back in the day. An incredible piece of engineering and history, brought to life.
